As GM prepares for his Cadillac ATS this summer more information leak starts, including standard features and what trims have an available manual transmission.

Starting with the engine range, we now have more accurate performance information. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder produces 202 hp and 190 pounds-feet of torque, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder 272 hp and 260 pound-feet of torque and the 3.6-liter V-6 will produce 321 hp and 274 pounds of produce-feet of torque. These numbers are a bit higher than the estimates in the 2012 Cadillac us Detroit Auto Show.

All three engines can run on regular gas, although Cadillac recommends premium with the turbo. While the original Cadillac release stated that all-wheel drive would be an option for all engines, it turns out that it will not be for the base 2.5-liter engine. All engines come with a six-speed automatic as standard with a six-speed manual option on the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder rear-wheel drive only after GM. The 3.6-liter engine is E85 compatible.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS is the standard, luxury, performance and premium trim available. The 2.5-liter is only for standard and luxury trim, the 2.0-liter turbo four is available in all trim packages. The 3.6-liter V-6 trims in Luxury, Performance and Premium.

Standard, luxury and performance models come with a FE2 sports suspension setup, while premium rear-drive models have an available FE3 sport suspension, performance cooling system, limited slip differential, and Magnetic Ride Control real-time damping. Brembo-brand performance brakes are an option down the line.

Basic ATS models come with 17-inch wheels, wrapped a leather steering wheel and gear, an air filtration system, Bluetooth streaming audio, ambient interior lighting, OnStar with a one-year Directions and Connections subscription, perimeter security system, halogen- Headlights standard with flash-to-pass, push-button start, dual-zone climate control.

The Luxury Package adds a chrome grille, front parking aid, a passive keyless entry system, split folding rear seat, leather seats, Brembo brakes, 10-way power driver's seat, heated side mirrors with auto-dimming driver's side mirror, auto-dimming rearview mirror backup camera, and an 8-inch center console touch screen with Cadillac CUE multimedia system.

The Performance Package brings high-intensity-discharge headlights with articulating lens, LED headlight accent lighting, performance bucket seats, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters (with automatic transmission), 10-Bose surround sound system, rain-sensing wipers, rear side airbags, rear parking sonar, forward collision warning system and a lane departure warning.

Finally, the premium package includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a color head-up display and a navigation system.

We need more information about the ATS, including pricing and fuel efficiency, the model closer to the on-sale date.
