Hyundai full-size sedan has been redesigned for 2012 and can among his strengths-quality materials in the interior, a competent powertrain and a cavernous back seat count. The Azera offers plenty of space for two child safety seats, and a wide, flat bottom cushions and simply looking to help latch anchor, this is also a car-seat-friendly car.

For the Car Seat Check, we use a Graco SnugRide 30 rear-facing infant seat safety seat, a Britax Roundabout convertible child-safety seat and Graco high-back seat turbocharger.

The front seats are adjusted to a comfortable position for a 5-foot-5 driver and a 6-foot-1 passenger. The three child seats installed in the second row. The child seat installed sitting behind the driver's seat, and the infant seat and convertible seats behind the passenger seat. We install the car seat in the second row of the middle seat with the booster and convertible in the outboard seats to see if three car seats fit. If there's a third row, we install the booster seat and a forward-facing convertible.

Here's how the Hyundai Azera has in Cars.com 's Car Seat Check:

Latch system: There are two sets of Latch anchors in the outboard seats. They are easy to reach, as the anchors are set high posts in the seat, where the back and bottom meet pillow. The anchors are positioned relatively close to each other, which complicates the installation of the rear-facing convertible.

Booster seat: The booster had a lot of space on the wide, flat seat. The Azera the buckles on the disk side and small, so that they may use a challenge for children independently. In addition, stay a little longer, but what could she grabbed a little easier.

Convertible seat: The Azera headrests prevented the forward assembly convertible from flat on the seat surface. We removed to make sure the car seat was in the correct angle. There are three tether anchors on the rear shelf, and they sit under large plastic covers. The anchors themselves were easy to access and had plenty of space around them. Install the convertible seat in the rear-facing position, a littler was harder because the buckles Azera blocks access to the latch anchor. To the rear convertible fit, we had to move the passenger seat up just a bit, because the passenger nor a comfortable legroom.

Infant-safety seat: The child seat fit well in the seat and was easy to install with its traditional Latch connectors. Since the middle seat of the second row turns into Azera is an armrest, this is not a safe place for a rear-facing child seat. It could flip and hurt the child in an accident.

How many car seats fit in the second row? Two

Editor's note: For three car seats – infant-safety seat, convertible and booster seats – to fit in a car, our criterion is that a child sitting in the booster seat must reach the buckle. Parents should also remember that they can use the Latch system or a seat belt to install a car seat.
