To promote its new DS-3 hatchback, European carmaker Citroen is using interview footage of John Lennon proclaiming rock ‘n’ roll isn’t about looking backward. The “Anti Retro” slogan and the ad itself are well-done, but that isn’t soothing the ire of fans of the legendary Beatle. Zipcar Adds Electric and Plug-in Vehicles

The car-sharing service Zipcar has announced that it will add an electric vehicle pod in Cambridge, Mass., which will include an all-electric Citroen c1 and a plug-in hybrid Toyota Prius. Electric cars seem especially suited to Zipcar customers. The company says that 95% of Zipcar trips are under four hours and less than 25 miles, which is well-suited for electric vehicles with a short range.

Since the GTbyCitroen supercar crossed the pixel-reality barrier and leapt out of Gran Turismo 5 and onto the street, talk of a limited production run has circulated. Now that talk is taking shape, with an expected production run of just six cars according to the latest reports. Back in December we brought you the first hints that the French-branded Sony Playstation video game car might see actual sales, but the newest information claims to be based on inside information from Citroen's product chief Vincent Besson, reports Autocar.
